Hacking iTouch 2: HeartGold Freezes Randomly

I'm playing HeartGold and it keeps randomly freezing on me. I wish I knew what was going on, is there some kind of patch I need for the ROM at all? Also, the music keeps playing, but the video completely freezes. I'm using latest firmware (3.8a).

Patch the ROM with Rudolph's Child's Play patch.

Try redownloading the ROM from other source and format your SD card with Panasonic SD Formatter
My brother has an Itouch and doesnt freeze for him

It's still reported on the iTouch forums to freeze randomly with latest firmware BUT the patch fixes it for them, and it fixed it for me. Nothing is wrong with my SD Card and I don't need to download a ROM as I dumped it from my official cart.
