Hacking iso size after patching?

after patching iso's using backup-creator the file size is diffrent can be anything from a few mbs to a few gbs . any ideas what the patching removes ?
 
it most likely does the same thing as wiiscrubber removing the "filler" data. considering this is a loader separate from the loader included by Nintendo it does not need to pass the same standards as a normal wii disk. removing the useless data could possibly make the disk load faster, but i'm not entirely sure.
