I've heard reports of it wearing out the drive if you are constantly dumping tons of games on your Wii.

I'm sure its happened to some people though. I actually read a post by a guy who had it happen to him after he dumped like a hundred gamecube games, so it might not be all rumor. Things can wear out after constant use.

well I'm really sure that if you dump 100 discs un-interrupted, you might damage your laser, but still 50 bucks for a replace is very cheap...!!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about dumping games. To the OP, you should be fine.

But the thing I've noticed about it is that after its done dumping the disk, it is still constantly spinning. So if I leave it overnight it will still be spinning hours after its done.

why not just dump with a lg drive on ur pc ? i think it takes way longer to dump on the wii.

i mean hell even almost 2 hrs is alot with the lg drive.

Umm, not everyone has and LG drive. And it's more convenient to use a Wii instead of spending money on buying one.
