yikes $99 is pricey, mostly because i'm broke, but yea seems like a good deal none of the less.
Well it's 3.55 and guy went through the pain of installing new thermal paste and pads.

Yes for you maybe, no for me but it's my personal opinion.
You can pick up a backwards compatible PS3 for PS2 games at that price, it's the previous model which has 60Gb and plays PS2 games thro hardware instead of emulation.
But if backwards compatible is not your thing and you just want a PS3, I'd suggest paying less and getting the PS3 slim since that one has less of a chance to cause a YLOD.
But that one's in 3.55 so it's a tough choice but depends on your personal preference regardless.
