This kid at my school (I'm in grade 10) claims he's part of a "state-wide organization" (read: "gang") and they can "listen to your phone conversations". Now obviously we've seen this done in movies by Big Brother and whatnot, but how easy is it to pull off IRL? Is this likely, or is this kid just bull shitting me?

But if you are so paranoid, just say "I know you can hear me" every 10 minutes.

Tell the kid that YOU are part of a nationwide bullshit detection committee and he has been detected.

Typical lies, tell him to put a sock in it and stfu.

This is the type of person that should be shoved in a locker.

Tapping cell phone signals is very possible, all those protocols probably have NSA backdoors built in. GSM is very weakly encrypted. However, there's no way a 10th grader would be able to pull off something like this, so like previous posters said, he's full of shit.

Im with everyone else who just posted "bullshit" so i say hes bullshitting, shove him in a locker. But Sneeze when he says his lie and say " sorry im allergic to bullshit"
