I can't update the firmware, or add cheats. i use the supercard 2.66 for SD version patcher (which is the only one that works). I bought this more than a year ago here in manila...back then i didn't even know there were fakes. i hope the link i provided works and someone would be kind enough to help me out.

BTW, the black screen with the supercard logo is always at the bottom.

I can't see the pic so I'll just ask if it's slot 1 or 2. In any case, just get the m3 real perfect bundle if you can. That's the best deal that I have found so far as they're very cheap compared to all other flash carts. The cyclo, r4, ttds, edge and all others are about php2~2.5k already, so why not get the bundle which has rumble and ram pak as it costs roughly the same as all other flashcarts available?
Take note though, that I'm not sure how much a flashcart costs nowadays but I think it's still around that price...

Whats it supposed to do? play gba games nds games? whats it called and whats wrong with it

it plays GBA (a bit slower) games but mainly NDS. I can't update the firmware...tried every possible one and it always gives a wrong card error or something. and i couldnt incorporate cheats....only gives me white screens when i load the patched game with cheats. i just wanna confirm if i got ripped off.

I think it's fake from the look of it. http://eng.supercard.cn/manual/sc_lite.htm

edit: (I see you posted in thier forums as well)

edit 2: It has a PSP looking menu and I don't see a slot for a microSD....so yea I think it's fake.

there is a micro SD slot. it's located at the side.

i wouldnt mind if it's a fake...just just want to add a cheat function to it. if not im just gonna hope if i could find hacked ROMS or something lol

Wait, so it's a slot-2 device with a PSP-looking menu that says Supercard DS on it? Wow, that's pretty messed up. My guess is that it's using firmware 1.63 with a modified menu. If you hold L+R when powering on and press A a few times, what firmware does it say you have?

If it is an official device that was merely modified graphically, then there's a chance you can restore it to a point where you can use the official unmodified firmwares, which would then give you cheat support.

first screen:

Test SRAM

SRAM OK!

second screen:

Test sdram

sdram ok!

3rd:

Test flash

Flash id error: 00b9

Flash ok!

4th:

Test SD/MMC

SD/MMC ok!

not find test file

5th:

now SC version:1.63

everytime i try and change the firmware i get a flash id error. if this was a supercard fake is there no way for me to update or something?

The Flash ID error is something to worry about, though the "not find test file" is normal. To be honest I don't really know what a Flash ID error really means.

Do you have a slot-1 device you can run a firmware recovery program off of?

My other suggestion would be to contact the 'bitblt' user at SCdev, as he does Supercard recovery often and would know more about it than I would.

did you try updating it by consecutive firmware add-ons? I had a supercard and the updating is pretty messep up as you had to update it in ascending order and can't skip to the newest one right away...

The microSD slot is supposed to be at the top.

i know. mine is on the side....which gives me a stronger feeling that i got a fake one. if it is, i'd really love to find out how to update the firmware or at the very least add cheats to the damned thing
