Hacking Is this a safe way to update?

I recently bought a used PSP with CFW, it's a FAT movel on 3.71 M33-2, i went and downloaded the update from Dark alex, which is on 5.00 m33-4, now, since the PSP i ave is rather old, and im not sure if the 5.00 m33-4 update is PSP slim only or something, id like for someone with some experience ont hsi to let me know before i brick my ''new'' PSP..

Opened a tab in Wii hacking and one in PSP section, then used the wrong tab, sorry =_=
