Gaming is this a good deal for a 3ds?

i found a 3ds at a pawn shop with 4.3 firmware and two games angry birds and petz. are those games a good idea to start my way to gateway?

You didn't list a price, but those games likely won't offer you too much gameplay.

The fact that it's a local pre-4.5 3DS makes it worthwhile if the price is right.
If you're gonna use Gateway anyway, who cares what games it comes with.

I would buy it.
It's still $60 off gambling on a lower firmware at a retailer.

Unless you'd rather have an XL, there's no reason to not do it.

Firmware 4.3, huh? I would also agree that you should haggle about the price a bit and try to lower it as much as you can. Save more money so that you can probably get a Gateway and use it.

Lucky me, I bought another Ambassador 3DS on eBay. And it was on 4.4.0-10U.

Most, but not all of them can have firmware that low. You have to look at the serial number to know for sure if the 3ds will have <4.5 firmware.

Edit: Simple answer - it's not guaranteed that a regular 3ds will have 4.5 firmware.

Can you tell me the Highest and the lowest serial number of a simple 3ds which is 4.5 or below?vI am trying to find it but i always end up finding the serial numbers of XL.Any reply will be appreciated.​

CW7235xxxx is the highest.

These are the 3ds models/bundles released in the US that can come with compatible firmware:

Aqua Blue
Cosmo Black
Flame Red
Pearl Pink (bundled with Nintendogs + Cats)
Midnight Purple
Heroes of Ruin
The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Fire Emblem Awakening


...but you still have to check the serial to be sure.

Okay so the 3ds with or below CW7235 have independent to color or is it the highest serial number to a specific midnight purple color?

Any 3ds with a serial number lower than that should work. The list just shows which colors/models were released before the 5.0 update.

And the Flame Red and Aqua Blue 3ds are always 4.5 or below?
