Are there any hack and slash type games on the NDS? Other than the Castlevania games (aka Metroidvania). Looking for studd like dynatasy warriors 4/5/6 on ps2 type stuff, cept on a smaller scale. Sidescrolling is fine.

Naw I hate games that use the stylus for control, its totally akward. From what I read of the review I wouldn't touch it. I just find the stylus a pain in the ass to use. Its for this reason I got a x360 over a Wii.

Not side scrolling, but top down, Children of Mana is a fantastic hack and slash dungeon romp.

Also, you might like some of the Naruto side scrolling platformers, I think there are 2 or 3 of them.

Cool i'll get those, I already tried children of mana and like it, what other games are simmlar? I know of Final fantasy crystal chronicles (both of em on the nds) I think Heroes of mana is another.

I think he would probably prefer a game he can understand.

Hrm.. Summon Nights is a good one, but again uses stylus for control. I find stylus control can work in H&S, you should give it a chance.

i think there is a dynasty warrior on the DS as well.

as for hack and slash, hmm, there was a pirate game in japan, destiny something something, u can have a look at that

Final Fantasy crystal chronicles: echo of time and ring of fate on the DS

and the rest, i don remember, but soma bringer is pretty fun as well.

Hmm, when I think of hack and slash games I think of games like Golden Axe, so I was going to suggest Pirates of the Carribean. Maybe the definition has changed!

No, there will be just 4 characters to use. But only one story. But the story shows how much Yuri grows. And the bonds of family. And preseverance. And friendship. And belief. And....

I'll like to add. But the whole FFCC is really. Great. Though i can highlight one thing, RoF has a good story while EoT has good wifi play. So EoT has more replayability IMO. And thats what hack n'slash is for, just hacking and slashing.

DESTINY LINKS is what you're talkin' about.

It's only available in JP at the moment though.

Here are some that I've played: (most are not really h&s)
~Steal Princess (more of a puzzle game)
~FFCC: Echoes of Time \ Ring of Fates
~Elebits - (Kinda)
~Rune Factory
~From The Abyss
~Summon Night - Twin Age
~Zelda Phantom Hourglass
