I'm looking for a program that can directly patch a cheat to a NES rom for use in emulators that don;t have a cheat option. I did find a program on the pocketnes site but I couldn't get it to work. I was wondering if there are any other programs out there for this purpose?

Yeah there s one that let you put Action Replay/Game Genie codes in ROM. The link has been deleted though:
