Hacking Is The R4 inpentetrable?

I was just thinking about this when i was playing it, is there any way for it to corrupt as in like make it not function anymore sch as not read micro sd cards etc.

Why im asking these questions is that i dont break mine and i really want to find out so i can be aware, im not after everyone please! its just my curiosity and if i did i would get my asked kicked for sure =P

Sorry, the R4 is like a cockroach. Nothing can kill it, including a nuclear bomb.

If you want to get serious, drive a Wooden Cross with liquid silver on the tip through the main processor of the R4. Then it will die.

Well I managed to destroy mine by opening it up to remove a broken spring. Somehow, something I did must have caused a fuse to fuck up. It not only broke itself, it bricked my DS (my fault though)!

Anyways, I tossed it in the garbage (because selling it on ebay would be really mean to the poor sap who bought it).

Ways to corrupt your R4:

Abosulutely nothing, if you're using it the usual way, as in, you just put a microSd in it (which is loaded with R4DS loader and games/homebrews) and put it in your DS and play, nothing goes beyond that

Indeed it did. The odd thing is that it took months AFTER removing the spring for this to happen. But ever since opening the R4, I had problems with the DS reading the card and would sometimes have to squeeze the R4 to center the internal chip properly.

I got one of them after my DS fat, R4DS and some games were stolen

I just did a search for R4, M3 Real and CycloDS on ebay but nothing turned up. Did you get them when they first came out? Maybe you got lucky and ebay had no regulations in place yet for flashcarts when not many people knew about them.

Anyway, sucks to hear that your stuff got stolen, but I'm sure your R4 made up for your loss
