The PS3 will never be hacked.
Sony did their homework on this system.
Maybe it'll be hacked by the time the PS4 comes out..........
It's already been hacked. Then they took out Linux support.
If you're talking about GeoHot, that's wishful thinking. No release? Not hacked. At least for me.

Or if you want to believe some random screenshots, you should also believe all those "ZOmg I h4xx0rz PS3" vids on youtube

The ps3 has been hacked for a while. Public loading of copied discs isn't possible. But just because it isn't public that doesn't mean it isn't possible or that it hasn't already happened. Blessed is he that waiteth.
Do you have proof of that, or you're just another one who blindly believes random people over teh internets?

The only hack I trust was the one Matieulh talked about ages ago, which was promptly fixed.

And as you can see, if there's an exploit, chances are someone will talk about it in a way or another.

He did release his hack. http://www.ps3-hacks.com/2010/01/26/ps3-exploit-released/ It's not very useful to a regular user but that's what Sony blames the removal of linux on.

Of course - else I wouldn't have mentioned it.

Such an annoying group, aren't they? Almost as annoying as those who don't believe anything.

Of course people talk about it. Just not to the usual type of "user" you get on webwares websites such as gbatemp. Was exactly the same thing when the DC exploit was being worked on. The "Usual Idiots" refused to believe, and were still refusing to believe even a day after all files needed were pred.

Yes, you can choose on most newer games there is an option.

Out of the 15 games I have for PS3, I only have one where the install is optional, optional installs are certainly NOT standard even on newer games.

So what is it? I have a few games that install data to the PS3, Armored Core, GT5, Demons Souls, and a few others. I do have 1 game fully installed to my PS3's HDD and doesnt require a disc to start, actually 3.
