With all these renewed rumors about the next Nintendo console, I'm worried that Nintendo's taking the New 3DS route and will make the new console exactly the same as the Switch, just with more performance and maybe a few extra hardware inputs. But with the exact fucking same HorizonOS that has only 2 themes, half-assed folders, zero music and the eShop only as a barebones webpage.
I mean, the Nintendo "hybrid console" approach wasn't bad, but do we really need another decade without any innovation or substantial changes?

Nintendos HOS is actually the least complicated or cluttered of the three big consoles RN.

I appreciate the lack of unwanted ads too!

I think they will just soup up the Switch and call it Switch 2. That’s all they really need to do to print more money.

It's all just speculation at this point. Nintendo gonna do what Nintendo gonna do. Worrying about it isn't going to change anything.
Yeah, you're right here. No point worrying about stuff you can't change, though it'll be a little sad if their next console turns out to be completely soulless again.

It's an interesting position they've found themselves in, since the hardware I think is the opposite of soulless when you compare it to the likes of Sony and Microsoft. Baffling that they decide to hold out on just making the software colourful to match.

Don't know why people care so much about themes or music, just play games
I think the eShop is the biggest issue personally, though the home screen also isn't the most helpful when navigating large game libraries (mine is around 400 games as an example). The eShop is slow, cluttered, and completely unhelpful if you just want to find something new to play. Steam just uses web pages but somehow manages to make the entire experience feel so much more fluid with meaningful design choices and recommendations. I don't think I've ever just gone onto the eShop to get a new game without knowing exactly what I wanted and circumventing the experience via the direct search option.

Personally the Swiitch development cycle to me is just as the other users said a beefed up switch but with the same crap we got already (probably the only difference is the cloud cames will finally be physical which in truth isnt really a big deal as the ps4 already has them and at a cheaper price) So not worth the upgrade "unless tsaid person is a midless drone and has to have the new tech to maintain an erection over what said drone enjoys" Apologies for the slander but it's getting to that stage where "up-tards" need to do this to stay with the times when the previous system still works and does the job. Me personally the switch is my final current gen console then im going full on retro.
