I've just upgraded my xbox to a 250GB HDD. I copied over only C and E, as per what @DinohScene recommended to do. I used Chimp in doing so. F is the largest, and has the most space. It's where I'm storing my xbox games at. The only thing in F is my Games folder.

Personally, I'd make a backup of the E and F folder and FTP them manually to the new HDD.

Anyway, the XBox has the following partitions:
C - Dash storage, 349.95 MB
E - save games/DLC/songs storage, 4881.63 MB
F - only accessible in hacked dashes (max size of 939 GB iirc, without cluster size adjustment, 127GB)
G - only accessible in hacked dashes (same as the F)
X - swap partition, 749.89 MB
Y - same as X
Z - swap partition, 749.94 MB

If your dash displays those correctly then your partitions are properly created.
I've never heard of Chimp messing up tho, so I'm pretty sure you're good.

Just keep the old HDD as a backup for the time being until you're 100% certain all your data is copied over ;]

I'm just trying to make sure my file system is correct so that I don't ever have to go through it again, and that I'm storing files in the right place. I've went through the contents of the drives and have made photos of them. I've found out that xbmc is installed in my Q drive as well as E:/Apps. My F drive is where I'm storing my xbox games. It has one single folder titled Games. My D drive is empty. I can't figure out where all of my storage space is. I have a 250GB HDD but I don't see 250GB of space available. My F drive has about 6 games installed in it, but only has 104GB free. Maybe I should re-do my softmod and start from scratch.

I figured it out. I needed to use Xbpartitioner to change the cluster size of my drive to 64KB. Now my F drive has 230GB free.
