My R4DS can load Wood R4 and no problems at all, but mine doesn't have a spring loader. Other than that, the colour is the same as a DS cartridge.
It also doesn't have the name of a site in it.

It looks like (I don't have a camera)
------------------------
R4 |
|
Revolution for DS |
(NDSL/NDS) |
------------------------

Sorry I couldn't do it well.

that's what an original R4 looks like.
there is an original batch of R4, then there was another production with exact same things. (not a clone)
I don't think original R4 ever had a spring loader.
besides, you don't want that anyway

The official R4 Team produced 2 Versions of the R4,
v1 has the Spring Loader and was available in Grey and White,
v2 hasn't the Springloader, was only available in Grey and have 2 identitations.

Here is an picture of v1:

But the guy's which posted before me are right, only R4's which bought 3 years or longer ago are able to be genuine.
