Well, I noticed it since yesterday, but today it's even more noticable:
- The Drive makes some weird sounds on startup
- HDD seems to have dropouts, as far as I can tell from the sound
- Games won't start up anymore, so will any DVD or CD.
- Takes forever to shut the console down - sometimes it won't even shutdown or it's happening very abrupt, like someone disconnected the box from any power source.

Everything else works perfect. The box isn't flashed or opened yet, but out of warranty. So should I e-mail M$, or is it some error that will vanish by itself?

Games won't start? So you can't play anything?

The telltale signs of it failing are lots of lag and freezing. Well, for RRoD at least.

Well, I could play arcade-games, but then I have these HDD dropouts

So how much would the repair @ MS cost?
And wouldn't it be better to let it overheat and consciously cause an RRoD? :/

/e: Hum, after I plugged my HD-DVD drive out, it works now. But the HDD dropouts and the freezing whilst the shutdown makes me still think about what's wrong :/
/e²: Plugged my PSP into the back USB Port of the xbox and it doesn't work either - WHEEEEEEE. + the HD-DVD addon works on my computer. Something wrong with the power-spreading inside the box?!

Yeah sounds something is definitely wrong, not really RROD symptoms but it does sound like your console is dying.

Take advantage of the warranty while its still valid.
