The only way to go from Vista to XP, is to do a clean installation of Windows XP, in which you would lose all your information you have stored on your hard drive, unless you have at least 2 partitions, one with Vista and the other one with all your files on the other partition. In which case you would install Windows XP on the vista partition, and the other partition would not be touched.
