Personally I think the gateway will lead to homebrew. Just think about how it works. It causes the system to crash, reboot, then load a file from the sd card. I may be wrong but my bet is that we will get homebrew

That's not the same as loading a rom that isn't officially signed.

I understand that. But my point is they found a way to crash the system and load a file that was not signed. It is insignificant atm yes. Again this is just my opinion and hope.

There will be more exploits but the 3DS will not be like the DS is ever and if it somehow it does, it won't be until the 3DS is at the end of its life cycle.

From what I've been hearing on irc today, devs need a RAM dump of the 3DS to reverse the Gateway. Only neimod has that ability right now (that we know) and he's not going to share the dump citing ip laws. And he won't release anything because he thinks he will be liable for the consequences.
