Hacking Question Is Card Dumping Safe?

So I heard that when you run a dumped version of a gamecard on a switch that is connected to the internet, Nintendo will brick the cartridge so it can't be used on non-hacked switches.
It his true?
 
It's impossible for them to brick a cart. It's ROM (Ready Only Memory). So it can't be written to... they can't blacklist the cart either since it would mean if it gets sold later on and that person plays it. It would make it not possible to play, it would be illegal. So no, it will not do any harm. If you wanna dump it, but without any cert. It's not possible to even identify it.
 
The only thing they would be able to do is ban the carts cert but, like the previous person said, that is worked around by just omitting the cert and using patches on the hacked console to run the technically bad dump
