IRC server, is it down?

Hello, I have been trying to connect to the IRC server, irc.gbatemp.net:6500 but have not had any luck. I keep getting "[Connection timed out]". Is this a known issue? Also, please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong forum, as I didn't see a help / support forum.

Where did you find the thing saying 6500 as I will go get it changed. I don't mind if it is just some random forum post that got top billing in search as it would be best to avoid that in the future.

I am not sure I have wiki editing stuff at this point, I did however let others know so it should be changed before too long.
