So, I might consider getting an iPlayer (Gamersection has them, yay!) Reason why is because the battery in the 3in1 might run dry, and we can't even recharge it (I understand we can replace it, but I'd rather not.)
So, I thought the iPlayer's GBA emulator would be a good investment, since the save files are written directly to microSD card, thus I can't lose my save files.
I've read that the GBA emulator doesn't have Real-Time Clock implemented yet.
I've also read that because of this, Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald won't work.
So the question is, does the game still run, minus the RTC features? That's because I've read on here that they won't work at all.
This would make no sense if it didn't run at all. After all, the retail cartridges just play the game without RTC when the internal battery is dry. 3in1 plays them, too, even though it has no RTC.

Second question, since this is an emulator, there should be no limit to the save types, right?
That means whatever the save type be, from Flash 128K to EEPROM, it will work?
I believe we have to exit the emulator for it to actually save. Is there an option to automatically save?

Oh, and, on another note, can anyone tell me if they encounter any problems with these games?

- Castlevania: Arial of Sorrow (U)
- Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (U)
- Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (U)
- Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (U)
- Pocket Monsters Emerald (J)
- Pocket Monsters LeafGreen (J)
- Pocket Monsters Sapphire (J)
- Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World (U)
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (U)
- The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (U)
- Wario Land 4 (U)
- Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island (U)

I'm mainly looking for if a game lags or have compatibility issues.
I've looked at a review of the emulator over the internet, and apparently, Wario Land 4 cannot save unless you use save states.
Found nothing about the other games.

Since I hate using save states, not being able to save in Wario Land 4 isn't nice...
Well, I still have the 3in1, wich play every game perfectly, except it has no RTC.
If someone could tell me how long the battery in the 3in1 lasts, I would be grateful.

Oh and, I understand the battery is used for saving, but since the save itself is stored in the microSD card, it would be safe to assume the save files aren't deleted in case the battery is dry, correct?

Minish Cap works. Pokemon emerald doesn't work on emulators for somereason. Saphire works but needs a save state after every save, same with Leafgreen. The other ones are fine I think.

Emerald works on emulators. You just have to change the save type to Flash 128k.
Just not sure if that would be possible on the iPlayer.

I'd like to know if those games work also...

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (U)
Kirby & the Amazing Mirror (U)
Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire (U)

well i currently own the iplayer and have played
-sacred stones, after awhile if the cart starts to heat up i notice lagging in the system so playing the cartridge for too long shows lag, i had the music not synced up right when it over heated
- mostly the retro gba games like mario bros dont work

-one of the castlevanias i palyed worked fine dont remember which one

Iplayer doesnt have RTC so you will get the battery error

The game still plays fine?
And for the matter, I won't be buying an iPlayer.
Gonna get a SCDS2 instead.

The iPlayer emulator was updated, havn't tried it, but may fix some stuff. RTC was added i think too. Theres also a file that helps compatibility somewhere.

Can somebody test the RTC in one of the Pokémon games with the new 1.1 update?
Would love to buy one if RTC has been added in this update
