First and foremost I'm sorry for posting an iPlayer related topic in the DSTWO SDK forum, but I ask the moderators to NOT move this thread for a reason.

I am one of the people who paid for an iPlayer and want the possibility of making iPlayer specific plugins like on the DSTWO. The DSTWO GBA emulator is based off the work of DarkChens iPlayer GBA emulator and has been ported to the DSTWO. iPlayer and DSTWO are from the same team and work very similar. The DSTWO team released an SDK for the DSTWO, which enables people to code DSTWO specific homebrew, but why not releasing the iPlayer SDK? I actually want the SNES emulator ported over to iPlayer and this is not possible without the iPlayer SDK. The source is there. I tried the SNES emulator for DSTWO with the iPlayer, experimeted a lot with switching and renaming files, but nothing worked.

I heard that the iPlayer team has abandoned their cart, which might be true due to the lacking support (a new DSi update has been recently released though), but why not releasing the SDK of a product that has been abandoned?

The iPlayer team does not reply to emails, but I know that they are watching this DSTWO SDK forum and they are gonna see this thread without a doubt. If enough people expresses their wish for the SDK being released, maybe the team would finally release the damn SDK. And no, I don't want to buy the DSTWO just because of an snes emulator.

They won't release the SDK for the iSMM which is based on the iPlayer so they certainly aren't going to release a iPlayer SDK.
Also DarkChen has refused to release the his GBA emulator source code for the SCDS2 so he's not going to release his source code for the iPlayer either.

This thread is for people that wants the iPlayer SDK and/or support for their paid product. But seriously, speaking of the GBA emulator, it is based off VBA, which is GPL and therefore they have to release the source anyway.

If he's not going to update, then why not release the source code so someone can update it?

They don't care.

They want you to buy this card three times: iPlayer, DS2, iSmart MM.

iPlayer and iSmart MM hardware is almost the same. And still you can't use their files.

Get over it. You're their friends as long as you pay them enough $$$. Nothing else counts for this people.

I am STILL waiting to play multiplayer wireless on my SNES and GBA emulators.

Iplayer Team = Supercard Team.

Don't expect anything coming for the iPlayer, except firmware update for DSi (they will probably support it until Nintendo drop the DSi).

Supercard does not want iPlayer to compete with the DStwo that's why there isn't new emulators/ds game compatibility/SDK/3DS support.

As long as the iSMM got firmware updates to run on dsi, you will have also updates for the iPlayer.

About the sdk, not much hope to see that thing one day released.

I'll agree with the OP in that it would be amazing if they released the SDK.

Now to show my ignorance, I really don't know how SDKs are used or anything, so I always support people that do "get it." The fact of the matter is, some people can make improvements and NOT try to capitalize on every cent they possibly can. If the team, whichever team it was, has previously abandoned a project, and they don't plan on starting back up on it because it's too much of a hassle, let someone else take over that won't get tired of it. OBVIOUSLY it's still the Original Team's work effort put in, but with a new fresh air making it that much better/updated/faster/stronger..

that's just me

TL~DR

I want to go to Red Robin...

Yummm
