Apple iPhone 4 Passcode Woes

Okay, my mom got an iPhone 5 a few months ago, but forgot to transfer her photos. Fast-forward a month and she forgets the passcode. She ends up locking herself out of her phone. She ran out of tries and now it wants to connect to iTunes, but iTunes wants her to enter the passcode, even though she can't. The photos and videos are really important, so can anybody help?


P.S. It's jailbroken and on either iOS 6.0 or 6.0.1.

1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.

Uhm, this is just a guess, but can you use something like Sharepod to take the pictures from the iPhone, even though it's locked?

You can restore it to a previous date, probably one before you set the passcode, other than that...you are out of luck, sorry.

Already tried, only works on 5.0.1.

I am uncertain, but an application like iExplorer may allow you to view the file-system of a jailbroken iDevice, regardless of whether or not it's passcode locked.

you can copy photos,videos,etc.from your iOS device to your machine. no jailbreak needed.

You could try doing what Kyouhei said and then backing it up if its possibly. Other than that you can't do anything else. Sorry. But at least you can still use the phone.
