Alright, I may be getting annoying with my posts, but here I am again.
So my iPad 1 is stuck on the Apple logo, regardless of it being untethered and rebooting successfully before.
I attempted booting with redsn0w, but then it just hung on the Pwnapple.
I also tried rejailbreaking, and that worked fine until it gave me a timeout error for downloading a new firmware(in addition I also let it sit there for about ten minutes, and then it let loose a rapid fire string of stuff that I think was hex).

I have a keynote project that is due at the end of this month, so restoring is not a good option.

Help please?

Well, from what I could tell, no, iTunes doesn't want to recognize it(although I may be wrong, as redsn0w was idling and that wasn't the computer it was synced to. I don't think iTunes shows the device until it's fully running).
DFU-Booting is a term that I'm not sure of. Do you mean DFUing it and booting with redsn0w? Already tried.
I shall begin the drain.

Sorry, forgot I made up the term, meant forcing a hard reset.
What did you recently install from Cydia? What repo?

Oh boy. Here we go.
Yes, I did try hard resetting. No change.
I have a good bit of tweaks I installed onto the thing, some that modded the Notification Center, Iconoclasm, emulators, Mxtube, YouTubetomp3, Winterboard, springboardsettings..
I think those are the big ones.

As for Pinkie's advice, that sounds pretty intelligible. Will do.

Edit: Nope. Nothing doing. iTunes just picked it up as a recovery mode iPad. That may be helpful as a last resort though...
Or should I have DFUed first and THEN plugged it in?

Did you install any tweaks before turning it off and and being stuck? Like immediately before?
If so, use ifunbox to manually remove them.

I didn't specifically turn it off because it was frozen, but I did have springboard safe-mode itself a few times after I installed those Notifcenter tweaks.
I also forgot to mention that I have dreamboard installed, of that makes a difference. I didn't use it much though and it wasn't running when I shut down.

Try manually uninstalling it, like I said, let me find a guide for you.
EDIT: This guy had a problem with Iconoclasm, try uninstalling it, manually via SSH

You can try iPhone Folders, a program that allows you to browse your iPad files by connecting it to the computer.

Then you should make a backup of the important files and finally put your iPad in DFU mode, restore it, and put your files back.

What files can I copy over and back without trouble? App data is priority.
Edit:Okay, I tried iExplorer AND PhoneDisk, and no luck all around(both bootscreen and DFU). I'm out of luck getting any files across, so I'll try and see what draining it will do. If anybody has an idea, I will try anything at this point.

On a semi-related note, what files does an iTunes backup consist of? Photos, App Data, etc?

Edit: Well, nothing worked. Restoring as I write this. Thanks for helping, and you may close this thread now.

Wouldn't all of of your documents be backed up to iCloud?

I was in the exact same situation (it happened for no apparent reason), and I was desprate to save the files. If you have the time, try this tool, it is amazing. http://msftguy.blogspot.com/2012/01/automatic-ssh-ramdisk-creation-and.html
Make sure you have the right java version, and run it. It will mount a ramdisk that has SSH enabled, though tunnel. So you can recover your files, and then restore.
