I know that this kind of file is important to the wii but can anyone give me a clear explanation of it and what one i should use? I get so lost when tutorials start talking about all of them. what would be the best IOS to use with gamma?

Well if you are in the wii hacking scene, and don't know what IOS are, this is just sad.
Google Waninkokos Cios rev 8 thats the latest one.
