I personally love it coz facebook , thechive , twitter and gamefaqs all have mobile versions of the websites which run alot faster and smoother and the photo uploading feature is perfect! Iv uploaded a bunch of photos from my 3DS to facebook with ease, not to mention the fact you can do this whilst having the camara feature open at the same time.

The lack of a youtube app is the only downside but thats moaning about what its not got. what it does have is great imo!

Hmm... I have been able to download pictures before, I wonder if there is a size/shape limit to what it will download? I just tried to download an alternate save of one of my webcomic strips and it wouldn't work, but I was testing the browser on different picture sites and some of the pictures did work. This calls for some investigation.

I just tried uploading again on a different site (photobucket) while checking the file type.

It's definitely a JPG file.
There definitely is a limit, I tried downloading some random images from GameFAQs and it wouldn't let me.

I am not a guru, but I do know:
*3ds stops displaying images that dont fit in a certain memory size. These images will get loaded in the browser until they exceed this size. The browser then shows a 'image display failed' error.
*there are within .jpg 's , .png 's and .gif 's different formats. I believe the 3ds cannot handle all of them.
*also, a pc would be able to still display most images that have a small error somewhere in their image file markup. Im guessing the 3ds cant.

also, .mpo files seem to be a special kind of .jpgs. But most of you probably already knew that.

I got another question, In the 3DS Browser Specification(see the 12th page of the Browser Manual) there is stated that the browser supports MPO pictures, right? iirc, MPO is the extension of the 3D pictures that the DS can show. However, I can't seem to find any .MPO pictures anywhere on the internet. Does somebody know a place where I can see .mpo pics?

In this topic, someone took Eighteen's Wii/Cube pics and put them on a site where the 3DS can view the .mpo pics in 3D. Works great on the 3DS browser. Direct link to website here.

I just wish that the images could be viewed in 3D without having to open each picture separately.

I now officially want some of those games rereleased on 3DS.

Wow thanks for that link! It's great to be able to see and save the MPO files through the Internet Browser
