As far as impressions go, I'm pretty pleased. I'm just rather excited to play around with it.

Were you able to get any canvas-element stuff to run?

For Facebook it's http://m.facebook.com

Google Mobile http://m.google.com The search function is much more 3DS friendly than the browser internal one.

Does this only happens with me? When I try to open flashcards pages with the 3ds, it says invalid url. If anyone here had a similar issue post below

This sucks! I can't compose an email using yahoomail with the 3ds internet browser the keyboard won't shows up! Anyone has this problem?

Had an issue with that while trying to post a blog elsewhere. I'm not sure if it's just an issue of the browser trying to catch up, or if it just doesn't recognize certain types of text boxes. Don't know how all that stuff works.

Has anyone tried jsnes, just for the heck of it?

I get many "Terminating script" messages, but when I don't, the emulator runs a ~0.2 FPS.

Indeed. However, I was able (after 30 seconds of waiting) to see the Super Mario Bros. Menu

!

I tried the JavaScript GameBoy emulator as well *snip*. However, the 3DSBrowser told me that the site 'had too much content' so that 'some content coudln't be loaded'. In other words: a blank page >.> But whatever.

I was. See This topic for more information about it. I got quite a few applications and games that run (to some extent) on the 3DS browser.

I got another question, In the 3DS Browser Specification(see the 12th page of the Browser Manual) there is stated that the browser supports MPO pictures, right? iirc, MPO is the extension of the 3D pictures that the DS can show. However, I can't seem to find any .MPO pictures anywhere on the internet. Does somebody know a place where I can see .mpo pics?

Have a nice day,

I'm loving it so far. It works great with the normal GameFaqs (I wasn't aware that there was a mobile site though, thanks!) and Link's Awakening. The only feature that I think we need is a "Find" feature - it's a bit tedious to scroll through everything to find a specific sentence. But either than that, loving it!

I think it's fairly quick, the only problem is that you have to zoom in heaps to read the text most of the time. Think I'll stick to my iPhone

I wasn't expecting it ot be so good. it actually runs facebook at a gr8 speed. The dsi browser sites work on it, but you have to zoom out. so far, i love it. I think ppl talk smack about it because they are disappointed of the 'no flash or html5".

I don't know if anyone else tried this yet, I made a video of it shortly after the browser was released though.

You can upload JPG (or is it jpeg? I can never tell the two apart) pictures from the 3DS to most sites in the browser. You can also download pictures in the browser too, and if you click the download MPO button on 3D Porch you can view the pictures in 3D on the browser.

It may be jpeg... I can never keep the two strait, stupid using the exact same file with two different types. >_>
No... just checked. The file type of the 2D pics the 3DS takes are JPG, dunno what's up with that.

Hmm... I have been able to download pictures before, I wonder if there is a size/shape limit to what it will download? I just tried to download an alternate save of one of my webcomic strips and it wouldn't work, but I was testing the browser on different picture sites and some of the pictures did work. This calls for some investigation.

I just tried uploading again on a different site (photobucket) while checking the file type.
HNI_0003_JPG.jpg

It's definitely a JPG file.

JPEG filetypes are as follows:
.jpg
.jpge
.jif
.jpe

They're all the same compression method, so it shouldn't matter. All of them should work, unless the browser for some reason blocks some of the extensions.

Thanks guys! I needed those links for a 3DS portal site I'm working on!

I recommend:
Mobile MangaFox
Mobile My Anime List

Edit: Well here's the portal I'm working on: Otaku3DS

Well, I just had my 3DS lock up for the first time. I was closing out the browser, and the screen just hung on the transitional screen. I waited a good three minutes or so, and then I finally just held the power button down until the system shut down. Hmm...

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet (or if everyone already knows about this and I'm just super slow), but in your default bookmarks, if you click the one that says Nintendo 3DS Bookmarks (I thought it was just a header and not actually a bookmark), it will lead you to this site where it recommends these two sites where you can view some 3D images.

I mean, it's not amazing, but pretty to check out if you have spare time or something! You can also download the 3D images
