The price to performance is there for retro stuff. There are definitely applications where a raspi would be preferable

800 then you gotta buy ram, storage, os... if these nucs were fully built i'd get one but its too expensive as a gutted pc

Up until a specific point. If you're looking for an alternative to the SNES classic and the like? It's not an issue.

I thought some Snes games had performance issues, i.e. Super FX, SA-1 games?
