Hacking Homebrew installing custom firmware

Will the custom firmware tutorial work for the 3.80 version or am I going to use something else ?

Depend on which tutorial your reading.. if it's not about pandora, you're reading the wrong one.
Also know you already need to have a pandora battery, you can't make one yourself with a non custom/non1.5 firmware. (or you have to hard mod one)
