Hi
smile.gif

I want to install cIOSCORP.
I only want to launch my gc backups from disc channels, I probably don't need all those patched ios.
I want to install it from USB because the sd slot reads sd only if I keep it pressed in the slot.

Do I have to install all the patched IOSs? Do I need only the cMIOS and the System Menu ios? (ios70)
Can I install it from USB?

I'm sure you can as the Homebrew Channel does support USB drives.

there are only 3 wad manager's worth having
1) wad manager multi-mod (this is the best one in my opinion, its the only one that supports batch installing of files)
2) wad manager lan edition (it supports installing wads saved on your pc, wifi connection required)
3) wad manager gui (it just looks awesome, i think it has smb features also, but it does not have usb 2 support, so u would need to have your hard drive plugged into slot1 (the top one) for it to access the USB)

wad manager 1.3 and 1.4 are obsolete, and wad manager 1.5 is just like wad manager multi-mod or wad manager lan edition but with less features

so yea, that's all u need to know about wad managers

So I can use WAD Manager...

Do I have to install all the patched ios?
I use a hard disk for my wii backups, I need cIOSCORP only for Gamecube backups.

I'm actually not sure, either ask da_letter_a or test installing selected wads yourself (and report back plz!).

Try doing what u suggested, install only the cMIOS and the System Menu ios (ios70) from cioscorp and see if that works for gamecube games, it wont brick u that's for sure (unless ur wii loses power in the middle of the system menu IOS install, and even that can be solved if u have bootmii as boot2 or priiloader)

I'll try installing the ios, da_letter_a's inbox is full

If wad manager displays an error when installing the ios will I have to reinstall the original ios?
Are IOSs region free? How do I download from NUSD ios70 PAL?

ios' are region free, just not system menu's (and certain ninty channels)

depends on the error, but as long as its not your system menu IOS it wont brick even if that IOS is corrupted. But cioscorp has higher version numbers than ninty, so u shouldn't get an error due to installing a IOS that has an older version number relative to the currently installed one

Wait, the IOS I'm going to install is the System Menu IOS °_°.
If I want to return to the original IOS I'll have to delete the patched ios first?
If the System Menu IOS is corrupted, can I fix entering into HBC and reinstalling the IOS with Wad manager? (I have bootmii on boot2).

if u have bootmii as boot2 and a nand backup, u cannot brick (unless u update via ninty, which may uninstall bootmii as boot2, and u do something to brick u b4 reinstalling bootmii as boot2)

i actually recommend having a patched system menu ios

don't stress so much, it'll install fine

if for some reason u fuck up (ie. delete a vital ios), fix it before exiting wad manager or the HBC (but since u have bootmii as boot2, doesn't matter if u fuck it up, but still)

How I download ios70 from NUSD? (Bootmii is the last thing I want to use to recovery)
What I have to type in? (name and version)

If you only need it for Cube Games then i would say you just install a Patched MIOS and the IOS from the CiosCorp Package, which is used by your system menu (cIOS70 if you are at 4.2).
