India's a country of contradictions. Lavish wealth and crushing poverty often stand side by side, and for a country advancing to world power status, it can still be quite backward in some areas.

Case in point: This PSA begging the Indian people to take their "poo to the loo."



The full song begins at 0:42. Because, of course, this cause could only be served by a full song and dance number revolving around poo. Of course.

Daily 620 million Indians are defecating in the open. That's half the population dumping over 65 million kilos of poo out there every day. If this poo continues to be let loose on us, there will be no escaping the stench of life threatening infections, diseases and epidemics.
