Seems like so. I don't see any other way of booting into Atmosphere with an un-jigged v3.0.0 Switch I have here. And I'm just having a really hard time getting to RCM without a jig.

Yup, I want real Emunand, to avoid complications with Nintendo online services.... the SX iteration is not what I’m looking for.

I also am aware of the XCI difference, I’m not looking to pirate so I should be ok.

Yes, you still need to enter RCM to actually launch it, that isn't going to change anytime soon. Though keep in mind that even if you use CFW just for homebrew and not to run backups, the possibility of a ban is still there. It's smaller but it still exists. Course there are measures you can take such as 90DNS which blocks ALL NIntendo communications

What methods have you tried? Have you tried the paperclip method? The foil method? Whatever other method exists?

While Rei and Raj's base is Atmosphere, they both use a pre release version. Not to mention that, as far as i understand, Rei and Raj are just meant to let you run homebrew and backups while actual Atmosphere is meant as a complete replacement for the default OS of the switch so it's going to have MANY more functions

No, it's an SX OS exclusive feature for now. Think of it as a timed-exclusive with an undetermined amount of time.

They kinda do since there are apps that let you install a .XCI as you would a .NSP

You are correct. They are homebrew apps, like tinfoil, but made specifically to install .XCI files

Stop spreading this fud. ReiNX doesnt have anything in common with atmo other than the optional kips.. Just like all the other homebrew kips out there that are optional. All 3ds cfw used loader module, so it only made sense to use a custom loader with my spin on it. I also used it to make version strings etc.. a lot of features in reinx are a homage to reinand.

And sooner or later, most likely, someone will Port XCI over to atmosphere for all the pirates. But in the meantime I’m excited to get a CFW

Well the official release of atmosphere (v0.7) is barebone. You won't load any backups with it (yet). Personally, I'm only excited because this means they're 1 step closer to implementing (real) emunand. I'm specifically waiting for that feature so I can further protect my fuses. One can never be too careful.
