OK - I'm sure this has been asked before but I've searched & can't find it

Anyway - I'm approaching my 1000th post, but I've noticed that when I've posted on existing posts, especially in the 'Edge Of The Forum', my post count doesn't increase
So it got me wondering - what OTHER forums (or reasons) are there that prevent the post count from increasing ??

I havn't seen anything in the GBATemp Tutorial or the rules

Thanks in advance

EoF (for obvious reasons)
Blog Articles (you can make a lot of blogs, to spam your post-count)
Introductions (just saying hi basically)

If anything I would increase the post count for having a name that:
1. Isn't some Otaku reference.
2. Is a great game.

Useless post count increasing is useless

I'm sure you did have that ava it may have been a hammer though

(twas a little guy in an orange hood/coat and a hammer/cannon)

Quoted for truth, Cannon Fodder is a really fun game, spot on controls + not too hard = great!

I don't see how this post count is so important to all the new guys. Sure, I was happy when I got up to 2000 posts, because I feel it's somewhat an achievement. But i've been here for soon 6 years now!
and deanxxczx has more than me in just one year, for example.

Why does people post obvious stuff over and over again, just to get more posts? I mean, sometimes when people ask "how do i do x" that person get 31 answers, and all read "you got to do y"... it's enough with one (and I understand if two people answer at the same time) but.... yeah....

It feels like all the new kids go into all new topics and post "yes I agree"...

EDIT: @deanxxczx: No i'm not picking on you! I just used you as an example. I can't say you've posted useless comments, maybe all are wonderfull, I have no comment on that. I just used you because you have more posts than me in a sixth of my time

One word: Hatsu.

More words: Having an high post count is a reasonably good achievement, but if you spam to get there then it's kinda pointless...
