Gaming Impossible to update games on PS4 5.05 exploit?

Debating on doing the exploit to my PS4 I havent touched in a year with 4.5 firmware on it.
Can I update my game backups either offline or online after the exploit?
Also do game backups freeze a lot using the exploit?
I seem to see a lot of peeps complaining about freezing.

Depends if the update needs higher firmware. Sometimes they do (FF12 did when i was on 5.05) but in general, you don't need anything but a internet connection.

The only backup I tried seemed to work with no freezes, but it's a sample size of one game.

in order to update a game you need the disc unless you find the update on the internet somewhere than a official update
