Hacking Impossible to make emuNAND ..?

Hey guys ,

I'm trying to set up menuhax + rxTools/Luma3DS for a friend
Because he says he doesn't need A9LH

I have an issue with emuNAND , I tried creating the emuNAND from EmuNAND9 using "Complete emuNAND setup" , but Luma3DS would just boot back in sysNAND.

Not knowing what was wrong , I decided instead to make an emuNAND using the Gateway beta Launcher.dat "Format emuNAND" feature and boot that with rxTools beta2 , but I get nothing but a black screen

And yes , I tried holding down L ("when PID doesn't match") just in case emuNAND had menuhax , still a blackscreen.


So I guess emuNAND just doesn't create somehow.

Help , please.

First, you should unlink EmuNAND before establishing Menuhax.
Otherwise, your linked EmuNAND will ETERNALLY RESTART MENUHAX which shows you a black screen because LINKED EmuNAND SHARES SYSNAND'S THEME.

Second, you should know Nintendo has deleted old files on server recently which makes rxTools's cdn_firm.py no longer work.
This is another Blackscreen issue.
It caused by rxTools, but not your EmuNAND.

Third, make sure your SD card is not a fake or low quality one.
Fake cards can cause data error which makes your new-created EmuNAND unrecognizable.
I always use genuine UHS-I cards with Read 45-150MB/s Write 45-95MB/s.

To boot into emuNAND with Luma you have to press L button on boot

Tried setting up emuNAND before unlinking NANDs and setting menuhax up , no luck.

Still a blackscreen.


Also , I just realised that rxTools won't be boot in sysNAND neither.

rxTools no longer uses firmware.bin.
You get the wrong file, you Blackscreen.

Try Luma since it doesn't require any firm file to boot.

It's my first try to install rxtools to my old 3ds. I was following a tutorial and I was stuck in the cdn_firm step. And then I found out why it doesn't
download any firmware.bin. Any advice where should I go from here? thanks
