Hacking important info with fake ds injection files

games i seen that were bricking were pokemon black white,and and castlevania one.
imho i think it got something do with it maybe corrupting twl firm,But all this does is make it unoperable i thought.
im curious myself,Is it possible to brick sysnand with corrupted twl firm?.If so that might be cause bricks.

No, TWL is not crucial for the system. Are those real DS apps or normal .cias? Would you mind trying to install one of those to the SD card?
 
rohul do u have recent nand backups,Compare file contents of sd card.before and after.
see theres anything out ordinary this is quite puzzling.
ill do so myself also.
 
I downloaded the file which was posted on the Chaos site, gonna try decrypting and extracting the CIA, will post back the results.

Edit: Just a bunch of errors, it doesn't seem to be a real CIA file at all. First Decrypt9 told me the CIA is not encrypted, then Asia81's PackHack just kept on spewing out errors when I tried extracting the CIA. I guess that one was harmless, and was only made for trolling purposes.

Try opening it as a .nds file, or maybe even a .png or .txt.
 
fact it wouldnt install make me,beleive it not same ones floating round web.
i seen earlyer this morning ,who knows whats in this fake one other then errors yall got.
 
Fun fact[2]: the file seems intact https://scr.hu/4mzYD4, I tried putting it in a tool of mine and all the music form Pokemon B2/W2 is there, you can see it's edited due to the secure area being bad. I think I saw some creepy ascii art with HxD, but it might just be me being tired

After some more checking, I can confirm. This is the infamous taihen.nds

the extracted nds rom is identical the the BW DSi enhanced rom.
