    I have found that some discs have non zero data in the range 4fe00..4feff. Most discs are empty here (all values = 00).

    Example for Wii Music [R64P01]

    im not sure what it is, but you can do a test. just load the game in a modified DI and just make it send a big alert if anything tries to read this data. it wont tell you what the data is, but it will tell you if it is ever read.

    Tried decryption?
    Or maybe some leftovers from broken mastering tools?
