Been thinking about getting a switch what are things I need to get?
Screen protector what is the best or do I even need one, what games are a must have?

Screen Protector:
- Get a tempered glass screen protector from Orzly or amFilm, they'll do the job.

Anything else?
- External storage micro SD card (64GB or higher) by a reliable brand, such as SanDisk, Samsung, etc.
- If you enjoy playing retro games as intended get a Pokkén controller (or 8 Bitdo).
- If you own a GameCube controller and want to use it then get the Mayflash GameCube adapter.
- If you plan on taking it on the go then buy a cheap hard-case from Aliexpress (you'll find Switch products on Aliexpress under 'Nintend Switch').

I honestly don't recommend bothering with the Pro Controller at this point because you've got plenty of other and cheaper options to go with.

The Legend Of Zelda - Breath Of The Wild is a must have. Mariokart 8 Deluxe and Arms is great for multiplayer fun though Arms has a pretty fun Grand Prix. Splatoon 2 releases later this July (21st I think) which is a must have.

Agree on MK8D and BotW but ARMS and Splatoon 2 are more of online games so without online their replay value ends quite quickly. Also, it's pretty disappointing Splatoon is the only form of a shooting game that the Switch will have because I'd like to try out an FPS with the Joy-Cons/Pro Controller.

I agree with the splatoon thing. As for Arms And Splatoon 2, its fun with local multiplayer and online but I prefer local. I have never played Splatoon (for wii U) or seen any gameplay but many people say it was amazing. So based on others reviews of the first game, I feel like it will be really good.

For us, The Legend Of Zelda - Breath Of The Wild is a must and nothing else. Those doesn't interested us at all. Oh yeah.. Wait for 3rd party for AAA games and of course, Super Mario Odyssey as well.

We won't buy Nintendo Switch until we are very sure that 3rd party for AAA games are coming to Switch but if they are not then we won't waste our money. A wise is a key.

First, don't buy any $30-$60 games, way out of price for what they offer. If you plan to get any, wait for sale. Including the games everyone mentioned above. If i had to recommend some games, Blaster Master Zero and Mighty Gunvolt is eshop only but $10, Puyo Puyo tetris is $30 on eshop but $40 retail. Still I would wait for price drop. Shantae 1/2 Hero and wonderboy dragon's trap is $20, five dollars less it be better, shovel knight as well is $25, five dollars less and it be better. There is tons of neo geo arcade ports.... Ignore them unless you like $8 neo geo games with no online modes. Azure striker gunvolt striker pack will come out agaust 30 for a estimate of $30-40 (Price not announced yet) Fast Racing Neo i hear is good, but never played it, maybe consider it, and so is I am setsuna, Cave story + also, the price once again is a issue.

Sorry is hard to actually say anything worth while without mentioning prices. I'm sure is actually games worth paying that much for but from what I seen i don't believe so.

Well I mean I paid $60 + tax for it but yes, for what I played within the week i spent with the game back in march, I did not feel okay with paying $60 for it. $40 or less would have been okay, but like I keep saying, all the games are overpriced for the content offered.

This is my Switch setup and I don't need anything else as of yet.

Black Console
64gb Micro SD
Ozrly Glass Screen Protector
Hori hard case
Pro Controller
Zelda BOTW + DLC
MK8 Deluxe
Lego City Undercover

- Screen Protector
- Hard case
- A Japanese account (assuming you already have an English one) to buy cheaper games (some games are cheaper in JP eShop, some are more expensive), this is optional though since you can just switch your account region on the eShop website (not the store, the website where you access with your phone or computer).
- Additional Joy-cons if you're planning on playing games with 3 or 4 people, or local co-op/versus with another in ARMS.

- Games: Blaster Master Zero, Mighty Gunvolt Burst, Cave Story +, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Zelda BOTW + DLCs (Basically any Nintendo 1st and 2nd party games and good indie exclusive to Nintendo, CS+ is recommended since it has some graphical upgrade over other versions, the only issue it has is kinda overpriced so get the physical one to make up for the price if you want).

Don't get Pro Controller, not just yet, since from what I've heard, it has issue with the D-pad, don't know if it's been fixed. I'll wait for the Splatoon 2 Pro Controller.

- Oh, and Shantae, if you're interested in rumble when she shakes her booty.

Overpriced... based on what?
The competition? Sure some of them are, however BotW is not one of them. So what is your reasonning behind this?

The value of a good always depends of your current situation and job. Sure if you work at walmart, this might look expensive to you. But it is likely that everything in life will look overpriced.

But for most jobs this is less than a day of work for 200+h of content. I really don't think this qualifies as overpriced.
