To add to this, there are countless helpful people on the 3ds homebrew discord that can help you through it. I've held people's hands through the process a number of times. Even spent hours on the phone helping people. Instead of wasting money, I'd suggest going on that server and finding someone willing to walk you through it. People with mental disabilities have successfully hacked their 3ds with help from ppl on that server.
Thanks! This is what I wanted! I would rather DIY it, but I didn't know if I was capable. I want to learn and now I'm getting somewhere!

Where do you live? On the East Coast? I may be able to hand-hold you through it.
I live in the South unfortunately. Was that sarcasm or were you being genuine? I will gladly accept help. If you were being nasty, you wouldn't be the first one to do so, but I don't think you were.

I also am free to help most anytime. Can find me on discord or here. :D I've installed successfully a9lh on 18 different 3ds consoles.
I honestly haven't seen anyone as chill or formal as you
Hello, have we met? ;P

I'm a published author, so I had to learn how to be formal. It was my contention with people's blatant apathy/ignorance that I did a silly rebellion: Be empathetic and read/learn everything I can. That's why I'm here, to learn. I'm being polite to get the answers I need and am currently using the information that has been given. If I got nasty in return, that sure wouldn't help, would it?

Is there a way to downgrade 11.4 3ds film ware yet? I'm apologize for bumping an old thread, I'm just trying to figure this out. Also, what is the best suggested film ware? I've read 9.2 is the way to go, but 11.3 seems like a rational answer as well.

Ope, cannot downgrade 11.4 unless you have CFW already installed

11.3 is equal to 9.2 now that safehax is out.

Even if people want to pay to have it done it's not worth doing it for money - people aren't willing to pay enough to make it worthwhile. Case in point - someone from work wanted me to hack their Wii for them. I told them it was easy but they insisted, and offered me $20. Well I knew it was easy so I couldn't really refuse that if they insisted. Had a few problems that needed troubleshooting (controller wouldn't work on some emulators etc) and there was lots of time spent transferring some Wii games which made my computer non useable for my work, and long story short - the Saturday evening wasted on that was in NO WAY worth $20. I might do it for $100 but nobody would ever pay that. So no chance am I ever going to mod someone else's stuff for them ever again. Answer questions, sure. But not do it for them.
If there's someone who has a lot of spare time and someone else who is willing to pay, let them find each other. It probably isn't going to happen very often though. If it is your own console that you're going to love and use forever and ever then it's worth the time. Someone else's - no.

If you were like 21 and local, swing by with a 6 pack of some good beer and we'll go through it together so you know what your doing. I've never hacked one YET, but, the steps are easy to follow. Once you learn how to do it, you might be able to hack another IF needed.

No charge, you can enjoy the beer too :)

That's why I've only ever done it for friends, really close friends :P

Though they all did shower with me with love and appreciation and food and alcohol :P

Not being sarcastic at all, I like helping people get into this sort of thing.

Wow, that was condescending! I came here because I not only want to get these hacks done, but would like to learn how to do it myself. I'm very much so the car vs mechanic scenario that was discussed in these comments. I really want to learn, I've watched the videos, but my 1. I'm having trouble figuring it out and 2. My computer I own randomly jumps to different places, freezes, and freaks out. I don't really want to pay anything, and as ludicrous as it sounds, I thought a little money might provoke help. It did, but along with it came some aggressively apathetic nerdier than thou syndrome. At least some nice people understood my dilemma and got that really what I'm asking for is help! Even though what you said could have been worded nicer, I do thank you for the guide and will look at it for reference. Remember: Educate, don't dictate.
Sorry if that really did came off as more of as more of a rant instead of trying to help. I'm actually alright with people asking for help, but when you mentioned that you'd be willing to pay (and that email part), it'd sorta threw me off, so sorry about that. I'm actually kinda surprised of how formal you are, so I sorta misjudged that as well.
Anyway, I'd help out some more, but looks like you already got a good direction of things, so good luck with that!
Oh and also,

There's currently no way to downgrade from 11.4 with stock firmware, and the best firmware to be in is actually anywhere from 9.0 to 11.3, since recently the process has been simplified and it works the same along those versions

idk, for me it depends on the person. I used to mod a lot of xboxs for people back in high school. They were pretty fun to mod, but file transfers were pretty slow. Back then I had a lot more free time than I do now though. I enjoy it most when people actually show an interest in learning how everything works. I don't really like helping people who are just like "GIMME FREE GAMES!" and don't care to know any of the details that make it work. But when someone actually takes an interest in learning how it's done, and understands the possibilities that stem from being able to run your own code, unrestricted on the console, or better yet turns around and helps other people mod their consoles, those are the people I don't mind helping all day. I've never "charged" somebody for modding their console (I pretty much stick with family & friends), but I've had a few people who were like "no, you've put to much work into this, take this $20, it's the least I can do."

I'm not sure if this is in the right area or if this is against the rules? (Sorry I am newbie and didn't see it in the rules)

I've been wanting to get Homebrew on my New 3DS for a very long time, but sadly I can't do it alone because I know I'll mess up somewhere in the way and I just cannot afford to get another New 3DS.

So I want to pay someone who can get Homebrew for my New 3DS, if you're interested please PM me!
Did you find what you needed yet? If not there is a discord link in my signature. Tag me there any time and I can walk you through how to do it yourself step-by-step if youd like. Ive done over 30 3ds' at this point (I lost count). If you really want someone else to do it, I live in USA on the east coast. I'd be willing to do it for shipping costs and a small fee.
