New Metroid would actually be awesome. Since we're dreaming it might as well come bundled with the SNES version as well.

Hell, they could rerealease half the SNES library and it would be awesome (Super Star Wars!), but Metroid would be pretty high on that list.

When the next iteration of Nintendo cash creating doodad arrives, my few decent games will still run, and it's not like they won't be able to still make games for it.

I'm with the Final Fantasy idea.

The have the game engine, they have the story, dialogue, and design. How hard is it to remake a pre-existing game with a pre-existing engine?

I'm also +1 for Smash Bros.

And my personal suggestion is using the Sigma Harmonics engine for FF8.

Seconded. But in my opinion, a Smash game would probably be more capable on the more powerful 3DS, don't you think?

As much as a Smash Bros. DS would make me salivate, I'm hoping for a 3DS entry to the series.
