No, AGB_firm is completely separate from 3ds mode(Native_firm) and ds(i) mode( I think is TWL_firm)

I'm glad my horrific post was moderated in this delicate discussion

If you have a problem with how I enforce the rules of this website that you break you're more than welcome to discuss it with me via PM.

Oh. Is there a technical reason why Gateway doesn't support AGB_firm?
I'm sure there's a couple or more, but I don't know exactly what they are. Best answer I can give is the 3ds is one secured system

Pretty much. AFAIK, switching to AGB_FIRM (or TWL) soft resets the 3DS, which will remove any patches in place. I think smealum found a way around this, so it's doable.

well from what smealum shares a while back regarding AGB_FIRM under the 4.x exploit, basically when the 4.x exploit is triggered it pretty much crashes the whole system, from there gateway rebuild it back into working condition, but they never really got around to fixing the additional FW modes i.e AGB_FIRM and TWL_FIRM....according to smealum fixing AGB_FIRM would be fairly simple, i actually seem to remember seeing a picture of pokemon ruby loaded up in AGB_FIRM mode....but couldn't find it so .....maybe i was imagining things, gateway had also indicated they planned to fix AGB_FIRM support in gateway mode, but i assume the new 9.x exploit took priority over this
