No.
You can clear the logs, but it's said in the instruction booklet that it only hides the icons, not the activity.
the activity log comes back when you play it again.
It's used to make space visually in the log book if you played too much games.

(I don't know about the Format function in the settings).

"when you play it again" I don't completely understand. can't I just wipe it and then not use my flashcard on my 3DS ever again so they won't see it?

Nope, because you just wipe the icons out, not the log.

It does clear the whole log when you format, but you won't have your old save data. ;_;

No. It stays in the games that you played on a certain day. Once it's registered, it's there for good. Unless you format.

Don't double post or bump.

We don't know the internal of the 3DS, so nobody can answer you.
Maybe Nintendo put a special log which isn't formated, so they can check what the users did.
We just don't know.

why would team fail say something like that then? I want proof that it wipes the log completely

Well considering the PS3 can always see what you are doing...

geez team fail. so you provide info you don't even know if true or not?

Team fail said that formating is wiping out all the log from the game log book, so when you sell your console to someone else the buyer won't have your own gaming and filesaves for a game he didn't play yet.

Though, he never said that there is no other place which store data which will never be formated.
Nobody nows how the internal is working, everything is possible.
