I just wondered if you can identify what you might get via the box? I've heard there are dates on the box by the barcode, right? If I was on the lookout for a brand new ps4 on firmware 4.05 or lower what would I look out for? and what dates would I need to look for? Thanks

Probably not. My PS4 was a pretty close to launch PS4 and the box looks like this. All other boxes also look like it. (minus slim and pro)
