Marijuana is not physically addictive. If you are having a hard time quitting, that just means you really don't want to quit.

What is this "hard time" you are having with quitting?

It's mentally addicting. People who smoke it get addicted to being in a "high" state, and they feel weird when not high.
Kinda like if you smoke weed for the first time and I imagine you'd probably feel pretty weird. You get used to it, and it starts being the norm if you smoke it enough. (I think like 3 times a week was enough to do it).
So it can be addicting, even if it isn't chemicals that make it so.
aaand pretty much any addiction is hard to drop if you let it grow enough.

Well, it boils down to a wonderful lesson: Everything in moderation.

I'm actually quite pleased with this thread so far. No (seriously) ignorant comments, as have popped up in other threads along this line. Way to go, guys!

At OP: Get a dugout. Or just a pinch-hitter. Fill it only (at most) twice at a time. It's enough to give you a little high, but not enough to knock a casual smoker down (at all).

I mean, shit, the best way to quit though... is cold turkey. Just don't buy it. You have to make special plans to get herb. So, don't make the plans

Yea, the mental side is there, but at least that's it.

That's how i took a break from it for a bit during Wife®'s pregnancy.
However, that's also how i quick smoking cigs. (again, due to wife®'s pregnancy heh)
The cigs are still out of our life. The ganja? Not so much.

(however, it's rare that we get as ripped as we did in the past.)

Good thing you quit; my sister got AIDS from sharing marijuana needles and now she feels so ashamed.

And my cousin turned into a homosexual after smoking weed.

i smoked pot every day for 13 years until i was 29 but ive not smoked it for 10 years now i started doing wing chun to take my mind of it
(now im rock hard)

another day and im feeling better. you all are right in telling me the only reason im having a hard time is because i dont really want to quit... its true... i have a woman who doesnt smoke cigs or weed and its basically for her that im quitting. i have smoked twice since i said i quit but she doesnt know that. it seems like the only thing keeping me going really is the fact that i know im going to be healthier and less cheese brained.

thanks all for the help. i really appreciate it. this was my first blog post. i think im gonna do it more often now.
