Gaming I need help deciding

Visionary VC-100
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 2.2GHz / 2GB DDR2 667MHz / 500GB SATA HDD / Intel GMA 3100 / 20X DVD-writer SATA

Choice 2:
Visionary VK-100
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6HGz / AMD 780G chipset / 2GB DDR2 667MHz / 250GB SATA HDD / ATI Radeon HD 3200 / 20X DVD-writer SATA

This will just be a general purpose PC, no gaming need. I want it to be as quiet as possible.

By general purpose, do you mean like word processing and net surfing or?
Yes, just normal web browsing, instant messaging, word processing.

Someone gave me a xp3100+ system the other day, for $70 I replace the mobo and it's back on it's feet (or I just keep running linux on a USB drive, as the ata/sata controller seem to be the issue on it.) Better than my normal PC, not that expensive...

Any rate, I'd pick the second one as it has ati and amd in it, I'm just not big on the ati and amd competitors myself. BUT, 250GiB is quite a fair chunk of hdd space, especially if you later want to add a second to do the RAID speed up thing... guess it really depends on if it is just going to be a kiosk.

I'd go for the VC just for the fact that it's got a bigger hard drive (I love mah storage), although after a quick search I think that the VK will be slightly better for if you want to ever watch a DVD on the computer. I also think that the CPU in the VK might be slightly better than the one in the VC.
