Hi guys
I did the downgrade in old3dsxl with cias files new3dsxl.
Nintendo 3ds, both screens in black .
Someone who can help me with my brick?
Any idea is welcome.
regards

Did you guys of the story of the pirate who sinks his own boat ? You've just read it OP.

Pip'

You really like that story about the sinking ship don't you.

OP, please tell me you took a backup of your nand before attempting the downgrade. If not, bye bye N3DS. 1st rule of thumb when it comes down to running modified software. Always, ALWAYS find a way to back your original nand. It will save your from a great fall. Plus a sinking ship.

OP already said they didn't get one. Pretty open and shut case unfortunately

You can't get a backup of the NAND before the downgrade without a hardmod. You just gotta check and double check and triple check that you are doing the right thing before pulling the trigger on something as dangerous as downgrading without a safety net.

Yes, well, if he was going to use SafeSysUpdater to run a check of the cias, I imagine he would have also been more careful about downloading the right pack
no to use as the downgrader, it properly sorts and installs the cias in the correct order for downgrades

Cmon now guys leave the guy alone, might be some kind of fix one day, at least pretty much any 3ds you buy right now can be hacked, might be a fix one day.

Yeah, that's what I meant with "check the cias". You can't use it to downgrade from 10.4-7 as far as I know anyway.

there is no fix for a hard bricked 3ds without a nand backup and a hardmod. Softbrick yes, he'd just need to boot to recovery mode.

Oh, okay! When I downgraded, I used this guide:

http://gbatemp.net/threads/noob-fri...g-your-3ds-from-10-4-10-5-10-6-to-9-2.418125/

It says to use SafeSysUpdater to check the cias and SysUpdater to do the actual downgrade. It in fact explicitly says don't uses SafeSysUpdater to downgrade.
