PS1/2 I have a rare copy...

Of Gauntlet Dark Legacy for PS2.

Why is it rare?

Its rare because it's an original disc. When placed in a ps2, you get to play Disney Golf.

No, its not a joke. A customer returned it a few years ago when I worked at gamestop a major video game retailer.

I'd post a video, but my ps2 has a bunch of heineken in it. don't ask.

Any thoughts on potential value/why a disc like this exists?

If it actually exists, it's because said customer managed to trick you. Are you certain there's no extra label on top of the Disney golf one?

After working there for three years or so, I had never seen any game like it. It was perfect. I compared it to another copy, played both in the store interactive (no possible way it was modded) and sure enough, it was the real deal.

Maybe a mixup at a disc factory?

I dont know anything about this game/why it would be valuable. Check out places like Ebay and maybe search for a videgame price guide online.

Chances are it's one of a kind.

I doubt you'd get much for it though, unless you could find a collector that deals in... such goods.

Are they made by the same company? I remember a couple years ago on Netflix (I can't remember which movie), all the copies they received started out right, but half way through changed to Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Ends up the same company both DVDs and ended up pressing together a layer from each DVD.

In my teenage years, I remember a couple of times buying CDS that were labelled and packaged properly but had an entirely differnet album pressed on it. Probably most people would return these mis-matched items. Most retail stores (depending on the value of the item) either destroy returns on site or return them to the distibutor/manufacturer. They are likely very few existing copies of what you have. But who would want it?
