unbelivable...
You have a faulty USB Card Reader, throw the thing in the trash and get a new one.
But no, you already know nothing about computers, and you actually follow some dudes advice to use linux and install that on your computer when you don't know a single thing about it in order TO UTILIZE A BROKEN READER.
Oh god, i moaned like 3 times reading through this.
If your MicroSD card works fine, but the computer doesn't recognize it when you put it in the reader, then the reader is garbage. Especially if it's one of them crapy 1$ readers that came with the flash card.
Go buy a new USB SD Card Reader. then you plug your microSD into an SD adaptor, and it will work.
Nearly all my flashcard supplied readers are dead. And when they start crapping out, windows will tell you that the drive needs to be formated.
like, no offense or anything. But you need to keep it simple. And i am actually suprised how little people are capable of spotting a Card Reader problem. I knew it when
he said that the MicroSD works fine in another reader. Seriously.... I hope for your own good that you are under the age of 12, only this would excuse such naivnes.no need to be so insulting, u not only insulted the people trying to help him but him himself
of course your conclusion is valid, i guess i just thought he already tried it
i never recommended installing linux, just using a live cd, as stevetry had already recommended it, it made sense that it might be something that windows was doing something
i don't know where u read that it worked in another reader, he only said that a flash drive worked so the port wasn't the problem (at least that's what i think he said)

The other doesn't work with a micro sd card it's only a 8GB usb keyQUOTE(Chocobo @ Jan 14 2011, 08:13 PM)
I tried on a laptop and it did the same thing
I tried to put another usb key and it worked so why is it doing this??
