Dual 2.3GHz, 3.5GB Ram, 1TB Hard drive, 256MB ATI Radeon X800XT, new Pioneer DVR-115D and 17" LCD Screen. It is also on the professional line and upgradeable... and a Mac so I got a great deal for it.juggernaut911 said:8 cores arent gonna be utilized for a while. nice proc speed, why 2GB of ram?!?! lol
Exactly why I bought it, I'm set for the future, however it's now up to 6GB of RAM![]()
What were the specs on your G5? Getting $2500 for it is nuts.QUOTE said:what's the point of it?
do you really need 8 cores?
can it play crysis?
Business
Yes
It can. Very well. My videocard only supports everything on high setting with 8x antialiasing, at max res on a 22" screen, and runs smooth.

OS X Leopard does use multiple cores if they're available.

However individual software has to be written to use all 8 cores...
Hankchill, what exactly do you do that requires 8 cores? Encode massive amounts of HD pirated material?

I got one for Christmas, and I'm not too much of a happy camper. I'd much rather have a $2000 dollar custom-built PC that this ol' Mac.
I mean, I love the small, sleek build, built-in webcam and some of the neat software it comes with - but they're just not for me.
A bit of a waste of money. I dearly regret getting one, as I've operated on Windows OS my entire life and converting to the Mac OS isn't so easy. Mac ain't for everybody!
I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, though, hanky!![]()
Now get back to work on Rominator! *brandishes whip*
