Plugins are basically just icons that link to homebrew, you can see some available plugins and how to set them up at the plugin wiki

 

[Sausage Head]

plugin = homebrew that supports dstwo extra features (.plg)
plugin = displayed at the plugin menu
plugin menu = menu before you go to the game loading screen (EOS)

plugins are general homebrew too (.nds), they are links to homebrew OR programs made by the supercard team
